What is SendMeScreens?
SendMeScreens is an invaluable tool for the parent that wants to know exactly what their child does on the computer. SendMeScreens does just what it sounds like, it sends you pictures of everything displayed on the computer screen. All you need to do is set a schedule that coincides with your child using the computer. From that point on, SendMeScreens will keep you up to date with what your child is doing on the computer, including all their activity on the internet.
SendMeScreens will show you...
- Who your child chats with and everything they say
- What websites your child visits and everything they see on those sites
- Where your child stores their files on the computer
- All the emails your child sends and receives
Where can I download SendMeScreens?
We are currently working hard on an updated version of SendMeScreens! Please keep checking back here for updates!
How does it work?
SendMeScreens runs silently on your computer. It takes a picture of everything on the computer screen several times a minute and after 5 minutes, uploads the pictures it has taken to SendMeScreens.com. You can then log in from any other computer and view them.
Why should I want this?
You are a parent that is concerned about what your child is seeing and doing on the internet. A large percentage of parents view the internet as an invaluable resource but also as a potential source of danger for their children (source).
The dangers of the internet have become mainstream in the last few years.
- NBC's To Catch a Predator is television show based on catching pedophiles that chat with pretend under-age girls and schedule meetings for sexual purposes. SendMeScreens can help you defend against this danger as you will always know who your child is chatting with and what they are chatting about.
- This tragic story that made national headlines is about a young girl that committed suicide because of being bullied by her friend's parents on MySpace. Her parents were aware of her surfing MySpace, but they did not know what she was doing there or who she was chatting with.
- If your child is a minor and they are downloading and sharing music or movies on the internet, as the parent you are responsible and open to the possibility of being sued by the RIAA or MPAA.
